 With its base -cylinder engine, the reviewers think the 2016 Highlander offers adequate power. Still, most recommend the V6 model because it's much more powerful than the four-cylinder model and gets nearly identical fuel economy.

The four-cylinder Highlander gets 20/25 mpg city/highway, which is below average for the class. The V6 model gets 19/25.
